The city of Mt. Healthy, originally named Mt. Pleasant, was first settled as a village just north of Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1817. In 1850, a devastating cholera epidemic struck the Cincinnati valley area and pure water on "the mount" made the village a safe haven from the dreadful disease. After the crises ended, the city was renamed "Mt. Healthy." |
|
Just as the springs in Mt. Healthy offered pure water to all in need, the First Baptist Church of Mt. Healthy offers a pure hope found only in Jesus Christ, the Living Water. The members of our mount at the corner of Compton and Daly Roads serve as examples to the world around us of God's grace, offered through His free gift of eternal life. COME join us as we GROW in Christ so we may SERVE the world around us and SHARE the thirst-quenching joy of the Living Water! |

Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." (John 4:13-14) |
